Fun fact question from the previous blog post:
An American nightclub called 'The Coconut Grove' had a terrible fire in which over 400 people died. A simple design flaw in the building led to the death toll being so high. Subsequently, regulations were changed to ensure that all public buildings throughout the country eliminated this one detail which proved so deadly. What was it?
Answer: The doors at 'The Coconut Grove' opened inward. In the mad panic to escape the fire, people were crushed against the doors and could not pull them open. After 'The Coconut Grove' disaster in 1942, all public buildings had to have doors which opened outward.
okay WOW i'm sorry i haven't posted in yonks!
let's see, what's been happening... assessments have been happening. hmmm don't really want to talk about that...
my mum bought me aqua sand!! i was complaining to her how kids these days get everything! like technological toys that are sheer genius, like gelli baff and of course aqua sand so then she bought me aqua sand when we were in uncle pete's toys and i am yet to play with it....maybe in the holidays.
hmm, trivia night is on tomoro yayyyy our team is dressing up as peter pan except alice will be the only one who looks proper, which is good seeing as she is peter pan herself.

U is for Umbrella
Fun fact question from the previous blog post:
Many shops have prices set just under a round figure, e.g. $9.99 instead of $10.00 or $99.95 instead of $100.00 . It is assumed that this is done because the price seems lower to the consumer. But this is not the reason the practice started. What was the original reason for this pricing method?
Answer: The practice originated to ensure that the clerk had to open the till and give change for each transaction, thus recording the sale and preventing him from pocketing the bank notes.
interesting, huh?
Fun fact #2!
Once again, the answer will be in the next blog post.
so, for the remainder of my exams,
maths extension: 59/72 = 82%
ancient: 48/50 (i topped! yay =D) = 96%
legal: 44/50 = 88%
english: reading task 11/15, essay 13/15
overall im pretty happy with them i guess.
hmm, so lately what has been happening?
uhh...i had to go to the chinese doctor and she told me that my blood circulation is really bad, so shes giving me medicine and stuff for that...
its pretty disgusting, but eh i guess its worth the...disgust?
hmmmmmmmmm im also sick...but slowly recovering...i hate this rain, its so annoying. wakes me up in the middle of the night because its soooooo noisy =[
oh yeh, this term is gonna be so annoying because we're gonna have so many assessments in week 9 and 10! =[
phys, chem, legal, maths and maths, english. =[
and i'll probably get something for ancient...and if we're having a prac test for either phys or chem i will be very sadface =[
let's see, phys is next week so i guess its not that bad...it's also pretty simple, but with these assessments its so hard to know how in-depth my studies/research is supposed to go. it's so lame.
chem at first seemed pretty hard to understand, now i think im making slow progress after constantly rereading...i just really don't want to write an essay =[
legal seems pretty easy too...its also a research assessment then an in-class essay but they practically gave us the essay question.
maths...ugh.
english...ugh.
ooooooh but im singing at liveaid with joyeeta's acapella group. ive heard the song only a few times but yeh im tons excited =D
anyway i really don't have much to say... and i haven't really been stumbling so here's two links for you:

T is for Tests
about a week ago i received my cookbooks in the mail!
these were the cookbooks that i got as a prize from the marketing competition; they gave me $100 worth of penguin products so i chose:
-Party Cakes by Julie Lanham
be sure to click on the image and look at the big bikkie picture!! =O definitely making that one day
-Bake: Essential Companion by Alison Thompson
the pictures on the site arent as amazing as some other pictures in the book but yes, this book is awesome; filled with hundreds of pages on like EVERYTHING that can be baked
-50 Fabulous Chocolate Cakes by Rita Erlich
this one i am yet to receive because it only gets published on the 27th of june, but it does look/sound delicious. too bad there arent any images on the content.
i have also gotten my tangled poster which joyce so kindly ordered for me and it looks AWESOME!! its got rapunzel and eugene on the boat with all the lanterns around them and its sooooo prettyyyy =D
i forgot who the seller was, but its basically this
my mum also got a waffle maker!!!
we made some waffles and (after drowning them in maple syrup) THEY TASTE DELICIOUS!!!
i luuuuuuuuurv waffles now <3
okay lets discuss our tests now (sounds eerily close to discuss our TEXTS; gosh english is getting to me)
maths: 84/102 = 82%
phys: 57/64 = 89%
chem: 46/60 = 77%
hmm maths im okay with, did a few silly mistakes in there but 82% is alright i guess...
phys im SO HAPPY with except that i get denied of 90% by 0.109375%
chem...ehhh not relli happy with chem...i thought i did so well but gosh, i hate the marking criteria, getting KEY words is so annoying...also did a few semi-silly mistakes in there
so now i just need to await maths extension, ancient, legal and english...yay.
shying away from school, here's a fun riddle i got from stumbling:

S is for Sick
mommy rhapsody.
lol this video was played in my church, it's hilarious.
happy [belated] mother's day! and happy birthday to pamela for tomoro!
so i woke up this morning, ready for physics in the best possible mood i could ever have been in! I was like, so pumped for phys. did revision sheets the night before, did revision sheets in the morning and was just so happy. couldn't have been happier.
...
yeh, that was a lie.
i woke up at like 9...and i relli needed to go to the toilet, but the exam was at like 1.20 and i was planning on waking up at like 12 or something. but then i had to pee. and if i got up to pee, i wouldnt have been able to fall asleep again. if i stayed in bed, i wouldn't have been able to go back to sleep (also because the sun was relli relli bright).
well, i was in a bit of a pickle.
so then, unfortunately, i went down and in the bathroom i discovered i had pink eye!
my right eye was so amazingly red and slightly swollen, i looked terrifying. I quickly rinsed it with cold water, putting it under those...wat do you call them...its like those little eye cups with contours to fit around your eye so you put water in it, press it against your eye, tilt your head back and you open your eye so the water goes in and washes it...ANYWAY i did that like 3 times and it still did not look any better.
so then i fixed myself some breakfast. after i finished eating and changing, i sneezed like ten times in a row im not even kidding.
then i was like so tired of phys even though i didnt revise anything for the past two weeks, so i started doing some legal because the ngiht before i was freaking out that i forgot all these legal terms and definitions. and as i was studying, not only did i go through a pile of tissue paper for my runny nose, but my hands became insanely cold so i found a glove (yes, one glove). but the weird thing is, the glove didnt even make my hand warm? it like....it made it warmer when the glove was on, but when i took it off, the hand was much much colder than the hand which didnt have the glove... weird.
but then, long story short i got a headache, stopped legal, had some toast, went to school, shivered in the wind, aced phys (i hope...well it was easier than expected...), came home, killed some time, then watched masterchef!
and on the topic of masterchef... YAY alex is back!!!! yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
my excitement cannot be contained; that guy is awesome.
so anyway, rant-about-how-sucky-my-day-was is overrrr.... let's stumble.
OH WAIT!
lol last post, i forgot to say that May 4th was star wars day! May the Fourth be with you!
haha the songstowearpantsto guy on youtube wrote a song on it and then one of the comments was like "next itll be revenge of the fifth"
rofllll love these guys.
